Business Basics Made Simple. When thinking about starting a business it is good to have passion of the idea. You must have a full understand before you start of what all will be required. Here I will outline the major components and explain the activities that go along with each.
The main areas are Accounting, HR, Management, Operations, Sales and Marketing. If you are already self employed and looking to grow or even better remove your self from your business you need to perform a pie charting exercise. This is where you make a list of all of the duties that you full and then create a pie chart representing the time spend on each duty. From this you can determine how many people will be required to take over each duty. This is also a great process when expanding the business and fulfilling all main business areas.
