He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps as a 31D Mobile Subscriber Equipment Transmission System Operator and 31F Network Switching Systems Operator/Maintainer, and provided battalion automation support. He founded Where2be.com in 1998, which became Alaska Computer Support, and has since started or partnered in ventures spanning IT, firearms training, food, and telecommunications. He is President of the Alaska State Defense Force Soldiers Association, having previously served as its Treasurer, and is a USCCA Certified Instructor. He is the author of Our Promise: IT as a Competitive Advantage and The Family Way.
