My music is not entertainment. It is testimony.

Every song is a scar turned into sound. Stories of trauma, faith, fatherhood, failure, redemption, and rising again. I create from real life so you can feel your own.

It started with healing

I spent two years in one on one coaching with ChatGPT, working through things I had carried for a long time. One day, in the middle of a session, I heard a song.

From there I went looking for tools that would let me build it. What I found did more than make music. The songs helped the healing along.

Before that, there was a band

When I was 16 I started playing guitar. Shortly after, I got together with some friends and started a band called Disgruntled Americans. We played together right up until I went into the Army.

When I was stationed in Germany I started Disgruntled Americans back up again. We played for a few years. It was more of a party scene than a band being productive, but it was always a lot of fun.

When I came back from the Army to Alaska, I started playing again with the people I was originally with. We played a couple of the local venues, but the band did not go that far. During that time I found myself more interested in sound engineering, and I was never very good at the music side of it. I could play power chords on the guitar and make some pretty crazy sounds, but it was not anything close to Metallica. Our heavy metal folk punk rock was definitely a unique sound and style. We released some small batch CDs at the time. Super exciting.

After a few years we drifted apart, and my entrepreneurial career took over my time.

How I make it now

It was great to be able to find the AI tools I use today. They truly let me express myself. I build a simple foundation of lyrics, and from there beautiful songs that have the power to heal come out.

I write and shape the songs with Suno, and DistroKid carries them out to every platform. I am open about that, because the point was never to prove I could play. The point was to get what was inside me out where I could hear it.

My original works expressed much of my sorrow and my past pain. As I have kept playing in this digital music space, I have made things that are more fun, things that bring smiles to people's faces.
